Think this is maybe what you mean Ruth and looks like tomorrow - will leave this here for now, just in case we get a snippet on TV Wink

I think Kimmy has mentioned going to a TA dinner (her DH is in TA) tomorrow night - wonder if they would maybe have a satellite link or something to that as I'm sure most TA's will be having some event then all over the country Hmm

    Joanne:

Thanks for all the review really loved reading them.

Been looking around about the TA 100th anniversary seems the events are

3 April National Army Museum - Exhibition, TA100 Book Launch
15 May St Paul's Cathedral Service - City March & Guildhall Luncheon
21 June National TA Pageant - Horse Guards Parade
21 June National Reception - St James' Palace
10 July TA100 Royal Garden Party - Buckingham Palace
13 Sep Armed Forces Memorial - Service and Parade.

The centrepiece of the commemorations will be a pageant on Horse Guards parade on 21 June, followed by the national reception in St. James's palace that same evening. There will also be a garden party at Buckingham palace on 10 July

Not sure if it will be the 21 June as it's not in the royal diary that the Queen will be attending

    Re: TA Centenary

Horse Guards Parade, the traditional home of the British Army and state ceremonials, will, on June 21, become the venue for the TA100 Pageant, the centrepiece of national celebrations to mark the Territorial Army’s Centenary.

The Pageant will include exciting live action vignettes featuring tanks, guns and horses, as you’d expect, to re-enact pivotal moments in the illustrious history of Britain’s Territorial force and demonstrate the essential capabilities that the Territorial soldier delivers to British Army operations today. A lively musical programme, delivered entirely by Territorial bands, will underpin the live action to create a magnificent atmosphere for this historic event.

The Pageant will close with a display of the Colours of Britain’s Territorial regiments, alongside veterans’ association banners. A representative detachment of TA soldiers dressed to reflect the huge array of trades and skills provided by today’s Territorial Army will parade, and tribute will be paid to Territorials who have lost their lives and those who have been presented with Gallantry Awards and Operational Honours.

The Pageant will be followed by a march down The Mall, the road leading from Buckingham Palace to Trafalgar Square in the heart of London. TA tanks, guns and Colours, Territorial soldiers and veterans will march, with the salute being taken by a senior member of the Royal Family.

The TA100 National Pageant will be staged in front of 6000 Serving Volunteers, families, employers and veterans and promises to be an unforgettable celebration of a century of service and you could be there.

Serving Territorials who would like to be part of the Pageant cast should register interest with their Unit Adjutant.

Tickets to the Pageant are FREE.

Serving Territorials who would like tickets for themselves, their family, friends and employers, should apply for tickets through their unit Adjutant.

Former Territorials who wish to apply for tickets should complete the online application form which will be available on this site shortly.

I cant see where Jonathan is going to fit in at that parade? It says music is provided entirely by Terretorial Bands - I presume during the marching?

But on the list it says there's a TA reception at St. James Palace tomorrow too - could it be he will be performing there perhaps?

Thanks for the info Joanne. Yes

    Love Molly xx

Yet he announced it at St Giles as 'the elusive prize of performing before The Queen '.....and afterwards he said he was trying to find out if members of the public were allowed  but there would be strict security because of the Queen.Big Smile

Natalie, what a shame you can't make this, I thought you would be there like a shot.Sad

How about Marian....is she about !! are you going Madmaz ?

    Hmmm

Maybe it's another he is doing

Still performing in front Of Liz, But not tomorrow ?? He wasn't entirley sure exactly what it was, was he ? Just that he was performing in front of her and he was honoured and excited about it, It could be a more 'exclusive' thing ?? One that isnt publicized as much or if at all as others ??

When he said it and then said what he said after, I couldnt help thinkin it would be a 'closed' event ?

But I of course could be wrong, It does happen on occasion LOL

I agree Molly -sounds like the bands will provide the music for the parade-my guess is given the "in a few weeks" that Jonathan said at the City Showcase ..I think it must be the St James Palace reception Jonathan is to perform at ...hopeing we get some sort of coverage from the news channels ..if theres nothing from them we'll just have to hope Jonathan gives us a little blog update Smile.

    Thanks Joanne Smile
