    Re: Dancing on Ice

Just got that in my inbox too

Have to say I'm rather dubious to say the least.  DOI normally starts in January, so why would anyone be in training now?? (not to mention how in earth would he fit it in!) Huh?

Given how accident prone he is, I doubt his management/record label would allow him to go anywhere near an ice rink, with a tour coming up and an album to promote!

Not sure how he would fit this in as these stars train for months so i can believe they have started now.

Not sure he needs to go on a show like this he is doing well without the need for realty shows.Thats just my point of view maybe in a few years but I dont think he needs this now.

Not sure whether to believe this one or not Hmm  It would certainly count as a "different" tv appearance.

Exactly, I know some will disagree with me, but he doesn't need this kind of exposure - these type of shows are normally associated with celebs whose careers are in need of a boost, and Jonathan is doing very well without this sort of thing.

Hopefully it's just the Sun spouting rubbish as usual - how many times have the tabloids 'exclusively revealed' the line up for such and such a show only to be completely wrong!

Blimey...what a turn up for the books !!!

All I can think of at the moment is Jonathan in Lycra !!!SurpriseSurpriseWink

Wonder if it really means Jonathan might be  singing instead of skating .Hmm

Oooh can't wait to hear more of this but I'll probably miss a lot as I'm off on holiday tomorrowHuh?

    Re: Dancing on Ice

Could be true as remember Jonathan Shalit got Myleene Klass onto I'm a Celebrity.  Hardly did her any harm.  I remember reading she said she needed to get herself back onto primetime & it worked.  She apparently encouraged Suzanne Shaw to go for it.  John Barrowman was on first series!!

Well to be fair those that are very good and last till the end come out very well from the show so it's not all wannabes  Smile.I have a feeling this is unlikely to be true though unless our Jonathan is a skater already and would require less training ..

Perhaps he's working with itv on something and they want him to do this also to raise his profile -if this were true theres a good reason Jonathan is interested -we just need to trust SG and Universal they've not done a bad job so far and hopefully that will continue.Smile

But as I say i'm thinking the only way Jonathan would take part in DOI would be if he is a very good skater and he thought he would have a good chance of making the final stages.

Thanks for the text Suz Big Smile

As already said, it is strange to be practising now if the show isn't until January if it's true. Can't see he has the time but if it is true, then it certainly won't do any harm in my opinion.

I think most of the non-skating stars could be rehearsing from now as they have loads to learn as they have to build up the confidence for the lifts etc.

We all know how competitive and sporty Jonathan is and this is one of the 'better' reality shows, like Strictly Come Dancing, so looks like it will be a waiting game, although I suspect any appearances and he will be asked about it Wink  Always thought he would be good on this show though and the lycra ...................... well !!!!!! Big Smile

I think he did hint at unusual and different projects at one point, so who knows Hmm, but tabloids have been wrong before and didn't he mention once that Celebrity Masterchef was in the pipeline, but he's not made it as various sources have mentioned some of the stars (which I counted and they all add up to the programme's quota for the series run) and he's not among them !!!

If you remember the media ,said at the time, that Jon and Matt, were going into Im a celebrity get me out of here, and that was not true, but if the show is on in January,Jonathan would be free by the end of November, I think this show , Im a celeb, and strictly come dancing, are very good reality shows to be in, and the line up are not people whos careers are on the wane,

and think of Jonathan in some of the outfits,Embarrassed

    Jonfan

Edit I have remembered it was Big Brother Jon and Matt were rumoured to be in not CGMOOH

Not going to post my initial reaction to this other than say if he is going to do another one of these shows this is not the right one and he really ought to be a judge or presenter rather than a contestant in anything remotely to do with music. However there could be a double bluff going on here - all sorts of names get mentioned early but do not actually sign up and it still gets his name out there?  This could also be a shopping list rather than the final one?

But surely the timing would be out ie after the album and tour when he should be going off overseas?  Celeb Mastechef would have been good timing?

    Jonathan in Dancing on Ice

EMMERDALE babe Roxanne Pallett and former EastEnders hunk Joe Swash are to star in the next series of ITV’s Dancing On Ice.

The pair are currently in training at rinks around London, The Sun can confirm.

Lord of the rinks ... Joe Swash

Roxanne, 25 — who we revealed is leaving Emmerdale — hopes that cutting a dash on the ice will boost her post-soap career.

Swash, 26, is also determined to keep himself in the limelight after being axed as cheeky chappie Mickey Miller in EastEnders.

Other stars who will take part in the show — won earlier this year by Suzanne Shaw — include Hollyoaks trio Jennifer Metcalf, Jeremy Edwards and Ben Hull.

Model Caprice will be slipping into Lycra in a bid to outperform the other celebs.

G4 tenor Jonathan Ansell, cop-turned-Crimewatch presenter Rav Wilding and high jump star Dalton Grant will also be bidding for glory.

They will be joined by Lost Prophets singer Ian Watkins, who used to date Fearne Cotton, Matthew Crompton — alias Corrie flirt Dan Mason — and former Mr Scotland Angus Burden.

A telly source said: “The next Dancing On Ice really is going to be a feast for the eyes.

“The whole line-up is full of the sexiest stars of the small screen.”

     Gosh

I  just put this up on another thread----

I just received it in my email so without checking the media thread I just went on the sun and copied and pasted it

Maybe Jonathan does like to skate one way of keeping fit but best of all he may sing

Agree completely - really hope this isn't true and is just the usual tabloid nonsense (remember those ghastly Celeb BB rumours (shudder!!)).

Whilst this may not do much harm (and that is debatable imo), it won't do much good either.  Given his workload in the next few months I still think this is unlikely to happen, as it requires a huge commitment of time for the training required - time he just doesn't have.

Come January I hope he is busy promoting his album overseas rather than wasting his time faffing about on some reality TV show

And that is my last rant on the subject (possibly!)
