    aom3.org

    Nice little review here Wink

    Link

What I like about this one is that the reviewer was obviously not a fan of G4, and wasn't expecting much from Jonathan's solo effort, but changed their mind once they heard it - great stuff!!

Also they're from Australia - global domination awaits! Big Smile

    Thanks Willowy

Fab review, Loving that so many that werent over keen on G4 are prepared to listen. And like him admit they like him, There is quite a lot of people doing that

It's great because he so different, And i think Only now, when some hear his solo stuiff do they realise Just how much the other 3 lads did actually sing on tracks. But his sound is VERY different to G4.And the songs he sings are as well, He is worlds aprt from them, Not in abd way niether, I'm not saying he's beter, Nor am I saying they were, What Im saying is They are two very different things, And I know we all know that LOL And none of us need educationg, But Im just saying how so many reviewers are picking up on this :)

Thanks Willowy! Where do you find these things! You are amazing.

    Lovely review for Jonathan. Yes

I cannot agree with the comments about G4 - I loved their albums - but sadly it does seem that many did not - and it can only be good for Jonathan that his first album has gone down the classical/crossover route proper and he appears to be gaining the credibility that G4 (unfairly in my opinion) did not.

    Love Molly xx

Great find Willowy and nice to see that they have given Jonathan a chance even though not liking G4 (???) - each to their own I suppose.

As Jules says - just shows now that the other 3 lads did have a big input into G4 (for the non-G4 fans, unlike us lot)

Nice to see that his album has reached across the other side of the globe as well Wink

Great staff. How did s/he managed to get the album in Australia? They can get imported one, but need to be motivated enough to go extra miles for a start, don’t they?

I agree Molly -the problem G4 had was I think they were too confusing the way they crossed genres -for many of G4's critics I think it was a plain lack of understanding of what G4 were about that caused their negativity-and Sony did nothing to increase awareness of the guys both as a group and as individuals -so their critics never got to find out more about them.Something Jonathan Shalit will hopefully put right for Jonathan for his solo career with clarity about Jonathan and the direction he is taking.Smile

    Interesting review there Smile

I'm very pleased that he took the trouble to listen to the album even though not liking G4.

However it's a pity  that he thought so badly of the 3 albums .....I suppose living in Australia he wouldn't have had the chance to see them perform live.Sad...this would have made the world of difference Zip it!

So agree Ruth...obviously weren't able to get to the 'live' shows where G4 perform the songs even BETTER....I'll forgive him for that. He's likes Jon's new stuff now, I'll forgive him even more.Wink

    Thanks for the info Willowy!!
