    Big Brother

Well what does everyone think of the new bb eye Big Smile -sort of a shattered eye look Big Smile
    www.channel4.com/bigbrother

Like the sound of BB9 -sounds like they are going back to a more bb3/bb5 format -two of the best bb's in my opinion Big Smile -Bet we'll have Head of house this year -give the housemates a prize worth winning Big Smile.

    http://www.dailystar.co.uk/bigbrother/view/37627/Big-Brother-gives-us-the-evil-eye

BIG Brother will play dirty this summer with a brutal “war and order” theme.

The housemates will be warned to up their game, or face an early exit.

And the theme was hammered home yesterday when Channel 4 unveiled the show’s new-look “shattered eye” logo, above.

Insiders said it was a deliberate move to make the logo black, the colour of authority, and red, the colour of war.
A spokeswoman teased: “Big Brother knows that power corrupts. And this year’s game-playing will undoubtedly shatter the housemates’ hopes of an easy summer.”

The show kicks off its 13-week run on June 5. And bosses have hinted they might even turn the nominations on their heads by putting contestants who escape the eviction vote up for the chop.

They could also copy a twist from the US version, forcing  contests to appoint a weekly “head of house”.
A source said: “The weaker links might be made leaders, while others may see their control vanish. Expect sparks to fly.”

Meanwhile, host Davina McCall, 40, has denied reports that she is to quit after this summer to become an actress.
She insisted: “This is a silly rumour. There is no truth in it.”

I have to admit to being one of these people that watch this program!! Embarrassed I just can't help myself - I blame my eldest daughter for it!! The house looks great Jo - Lets hope we don't get too many boring people in it. THey tend to play up for the audition and then when they get into the house they sit there and don't say anything or do anything!

The house looks great though! Thanks for the link!

I mite watch the opening nights episode to see what "wannabees" are going in this year, but i doubt i'll watch it much after that. I used to love this when it started but i think it's run its course now.

Yep I think it's the same for many Karen -they watch on the first night and are either hooked or don't return ...last years bb failed on the first night with the all girl house and it was downhill from there...hopefully better from bb this year.Smile

This would only work if it was the best housemates from the best bb's -bb 2,3 and 5 -Housemates like Helen,Alex,Nadia,Michelle,Jason & Victor etc .. ..doubt it will happen though ...and probably better to go with all new housemates I think Smile.

I'll probably tune in tonight just to watch the launch and see who goes in!

It will depend on the mix of people whether I carry on watching afterwards.....

I dont like the house - I think its garish and it would be horrible to live in it for any length of time - but I guess that's the objective!

I dont know whether I like the idea of them bringing back past contestants - especially Charlie - having to put up with her once was bad enough - surely they couldnt inflict her on the public again!

My favourite housemate of all time was the chap called John who they brought back in - in the same series? Cant remember his surname but he has a show on one of the sky channels I think. They could bring him back anytime!

I just pray there are no "Carols" this year - she totally ruined the show last year for me - so controlling and manipulative.

    Love Molly xx

Jon Tickle was a fab housemate Molly -the only good thing about bb4 in my opinion Big Smile.

I agree no past housemates hopefully-channel 4 would probably struggle to get the really good past housemates back as proper housemates anyway..

So hope there are no "Carols" -she so caused bad feeling and negativity in the house last year -bb need to avoid that happening again or the show will go downhill ..

Looking forward to watching the housemates enter the house tonight Big Smile -two have been named by The Sun ..

Well I think bb will have got the viewers interested :woohoo: Big Smile -best mix of housemates since bb5 I think ..very early days though Big Smile

Was struggling to predict who would be first out till I seen Rebecca

Liking Michael,Luke and Mohammed -my faves at this early stage ...will be interesting to see how Michael copes with the house Smile.
Dale is too ott  -making such a sexist statement ..not smart
Liking Kathreya and the couple Lisa and Mario seem ok also -nice twist -wonder what the getting married is about Big Smile. Can't see Stephanie and Lisa wanting to put up with the task for very long .Jennifer a bit serious if her video is anything to go by -might get into some arguments and debates .

all in all i'm liking this bunch really I only dislike Dale and thats because of his sexist comment in his interview video -apart from that they all seem a decent lot and not too wannabe .

    Re: Big Brother

Well it didn't hold my interest as I turned off after half an hour!!

As a TV show I think BB has well and truly run its course.  It was interesting for the first couple of series but nowadays it's just cheap trash TV - a vehicle for wannabe Z listers, who's idea of success in life is getting their picture in Heat magazine Confused

The show is now based entirely on manipulation and humiliation - with scant regard to the mental and physical wellbeing of the contestants.  These endless 'twists' that the producers throw in (which usually fall flat anyway) are there purely to create conflict in the mistaken belief that this makes good TV - as the declining viewing figures show, it doesn't!!

As I have no interest in watching desperate talentless attention seekers being poked with sticks in an attempt to make them do something remotely interesting I doubt I'll be tuning in at all this year!

    Re: Big Brother

BB did quite well last night 5.3m viewers Smile at first look looking bad with viewers down 1m on last years show launch ...but bb has held it's audience share in winning it's timeslot -it's much the same audience share as bb8's launch which means less people were watching tv last night compared to last year.Given how dreadful bb8's launch was I think channel 4 did good last night with so many fans returning and there should be good word of mouth about the launch.Don't think the first highlights show will go over 4m but anything around 3.5m would give them a good audience share tonight Smile.

Looking forward to the first highlights show and the first task-will be interesting to see how Michael copes with the tasks ...and what bb have planned to help him take part.Smile
