I know it was mentioned a few days ago that Jonathan was nearing Gold Disc status for TATM.  Well I've just found this rather interesting item for sale...

Certainly looks legitimate.  Is there any way we can find out for certain, so that I can officially say Woohoo, congrats and well done??

I know this company have these things on ebay, but whether they are because the disc has actually reached gold status or not I'm not too sure. Maybe an idea to send them a question asking this

Already tried that, but you have to register and give them all kinds of details to do so, which I'm not comfortable with.  I'll email UCJ direct and see if I can find out from them

However,  I don't see any point of having it manufactured this way. It's just a money making of this company.  It's nothing to do with the quality of music. Just being materialistic - and I'm not a material girl  don't get it.

Think you're probably right Kay and sure UCJ would let us know about a Gold disc !!!

Interesting -i've never bought a Gold Disc but this retailer must be expecting TATM to go gold given these things are usually bought by fans of the artist who want a disc just like their fave artist ?

I'm not sure it means TATM is Gold sales yet though -surely there would have been something on the official site.Though if it's as close as Marian says hopefully there will be some sort of presentation during a tv appearance soon -would be great tour/second album promo .

I am in agreement with Kay on this. I think it is manufactured memorabilia for profit and nothing to do sales. Also it is too soon for it to have been made even if it had reached gold which I am pretty sure it won't have since last week. Wish I was wrong though!!

Maybe its rather like the books you buy and you can add your childs name to the story and child plays for his/hers  football team or he/ she meets and helps Winnie the Pooh etc

Natalie it's a souvenier disc fans can buy should they wish to own a gold disc like the ones given to the artists-it's not a real disc as such I would think ...only the artists and Record Labels would get those I expect ...but looking at that pic the replica discs look fab .

They have them on ebay for G4 and G4 & Friends as well - they're just for fans for keepsakes, but they do look rather attractive

 I do think this retailer would not offer this disc if Jonathan was not going to get a disc and his album certified Gold.

I just hope there is a nice presentation during a tv appearance coming up -Jonathan deserves it .
