    London Theatre

I was just wondering whether anyone on here had any recommendations for London theatre shows?  I'd never been to London's West End until a couple of years back when I went to see The Sound of Music after watching the programme on tv. I've since seen Joseph, and also Lord of the Rings twice, which was absolutely fantastic.  I have two teenage sons who really enjoyed it too.

I have two more trips to London planned this year (lucky me, I know!) and am trying to make my mind up what to go and see?  I'm going once with two female friends and once with my OH and teenage sons. Has anyone seen anything they would like to recommend?  Has anyone seen Wicked? Questions, questions!!

I would thoroughly recommend Billy Elliot Christine. It is brilliant on stage and also very moving. The dancing is spectacular and there are many funny moments too. All in all a very good night's entertainment.

Thanks for your replies - there are so many to choose from aren't there?  More or less decided it will be Lion King with the boys, and maybe Wicked or Phantom or Blood Brothers with the girls, but your recommendation on Billy Elliot sounds good Marian!  Decisions, decisions!

Hannah, I LOVE the picture of you and Lee Mead.  He is a bit gorgeous isn't he?!  I loved Joseph when I went to see it. 24 times!  Now that's what I call an addiction!

Have booked tickets to see the Lion King with my family, and have got the 'girls' coming round next week to choose what we will go see.  I would quite like Phantom or Wicked, and I know one of my friends would like to see Hairspray.  We had thought of Gone WIth the Wind, but the reviews were not at all good, and I hear it is closing very soon. To be quite honest I don't really mind what we agree on in the end.  There's always another time....!
