Apologies if there's already a thread about this song,I only joined here a couple of days ago and it's such a huge site!

But anyhoos....was playing the CD yesterday on a trip up north,and everytime this one came on I just went all gooey (if you know how I mean LOL)

I know you all have already said this on here a thousand times but......his voice is absolutely amazing isn't it? Powerful yet tender

We were lucky enough to be invited into the studio and Jon sang MOTL acapella....there is no description fitting as to how it sounded in that small room....we were blown away.

Yes Jilly, he has this amazing knack of when he sings this song to make you feel as if you are the only person there and he is singing it to you !!! 

Well, that's how I felt, and Marian who was sitting next to me too, at the recent CFM Movies concert in RAH - he just looked straight at us and we proceeded to be mesmerised and melting in our seats !!!!

Jonathan got voice of an angel

I adore Jonathan singing My Own True Love - on the album it's fabulous - but to hear him sing it live is stupendous! It was wonderful to hear him sing it live on Friday Night is Music Night - albeit through my radio!

It's what I call a "hearts and flowers" song - and the bonus track that you can download from 7digital - Dreaming of You -  is in the same vein -  I love them both!

Agree Molly listening to My own true love live is just wonderful -we were so spoiled by all the lovely live snippets of MOTL during the radio tour-the response of the presenters said it all ...what a great asset Jonathan's live singing is.I so hope Jonathan makes singing live a feature of future radio tours.

I must be honest I loved this song at first, But when we got the full album, It wasn't one of my favourites any more, Because there were so many great tracks on it,

BUT .... I have to agree about when he does it live, It's truly amazing and you actually sit in your seat holding your breath (Or is that he's taken it away ?? ) There is some videos of him doing it the various threads, And I have one I'll send over, I never could get it up on here :(

But it's truly amazing live and really does reduce you to silence (yes even me lol) Much better I would go as far as to say :) (But I htink most of the tarcks probably will be ebcause it's how delivers tracks live that fascinates us and leaves us dumbfounded)

He just makes it look and sound easy

I am not a huge fan of the song, but I listen to it time and time again just for that last note :)

Yes, like most of you, this is one of my faves too...loved it when I 1st saw the 'advert' for the album (it being the 1st song you hear) and I felt it was just the right song to choose as regards to introducing the songs on a whole to the nation!! His voice is just so different and 'unique' from other male singers I have heard in the past and now I can distinguish his songs on a whole from other artists singing the same song (e.g. SE, Nessum Dorma)
